While there’s a lull in our regular events over August, we’re going to be working on a few exciting experimental projects – the first of which is going to be a magazine.
This isn’t (as yet) a money-making exercise – we just want to see if we can create something interesting, and meet some more like-minded people in the process.
Here’s the deal. We’re going to bring together a few veteran magazine folk who have taught at our previous events, and they’ll be giving free talks as well as career and pitching advice for any budding writers, designers, photographers or anything else magazine-related.
Final names are to be confirmed, but expect to be getting insight from people who between them have worked with Time Out, WIRED, GQ, Vogue, Vanity Fair, NME, The Face, Sunday Times Style, Shortlist, Jockey Slut and a bunch of other publications.
In return, we’d like you to join a features meeting and help brainstorm ideas. If you’d like to contribute, even better.
And we’ll be laying on food and drink.
Dates are to be confirmed, but if you’re interested, drop us a line:
