Whether it's an email, article for LinkedIn or annual company slide deck, writing well isn’t as easy as it looks. Your words need to hit the right tone between being entertaining and getting the message across in the shortest time possible. You’ve got seconds to catch – and keep – someone’s attention, and you better be bloody good if you want them to do anything after reading your copy.
Join copywriter Eddy Lawrence as he explains the manipulative – and borderline underhand – tricks writers use to put their audience in their happy place and craft calls to action readers can't help but respond to. Learn how to craft convincing, engaging and entertaining copy that will wow your audience, no matter the platform in this one-day workshop.
You’ll leave the course with a fantastic toolkit of copywriting tips, tricks and techniques, as well as repeatable formats to use.
Sessions will include:
- Introduction to copywriting: what makes writing great, what makes writing dry and dull
- Getting the basics right: knowing your audience, knowing your voice
- Subject lines, titles and headlines: the dark art of catching people’s attention
- Copwriting tricks to wow and engage your audience
The ticket price includes a buffet lunch, and tea and coffee.

Anyone who wants to improve their professional writing, whether an email or subject line, an article to be posted on LinkedIn, or pitch deck for investors. You don’t need an editorial or writing experience.
Eddy Lawrence has written for the Guardian, Time Out and ShortList, and consults for brands on copywriting and storytelling.
